The Troop will be living on a combat outpost isolated from the main forward operating base. Initially, the conditions will be austere. We will not have ready access to the stores to buy various hygiene items and other creature comforts. Many people have asked what they can send to us to show their support, so I have provided the following list. We will continue to add to and update this list.
Please do not send mail priority or express or ask for signature receipt. It will not get here as quickly (believe it or not) because of the extra handling it will require. If you have a high dollar item you want a receipt on, please understand it will take over two weeks longer to get it here due to the processing and signature collection process.
We are also going to adopt the school right across the street from our outpost. We are looking for school supplies: paper, pens, notebooks, backpacks, and any other supplies children might need. If any of you are interested in writing letters to the children of the school, please feel free to do so.
